   I love the asymmetrical combination of the drop with the silver sculpted piece.

   I like this. Is this cut or punched out of like a tin can? Then you put it in the tumbler? I like that idea! Sure would save alot of filing! Does the tumbler take any paint off of the tin?

   Hi Fran :)
   This is cut out of sterling silver, using a jeweler’s hand saw. You still have to file and polish the pieces by hand before putting them in the tumbler - the tumbler doesn’t take out scratches or smooth edges that much, just makes it really shiny. Imperfections would still show if you didn’t polish them out first. I’m not sure if the tumbler would take paint off of tin or not… its surprisingly delicate. I tumbled a piece that had patina’d copper in it, and it didn’t remove the patina at all, just made it shiny. I did read somewhere that if you put bali silver in the tumbler for long enough, it would eventually take all the black out of the cracks, so i guess with enough time, it might take paint off too.
