Finally finished something up for my shop with the new set of pendants I made.^_^
This necklace used the sterling silver razor blade from the previous post, paired with four gorgeous, dark amethysts and a very luxurious 3mm rolo chain. It weighs more than one would expect since there is a whole lot of silver in here. You really need to feel the chain to appreciate it – it has substance to it. It’s one of the more expensive chains in my stash, given the silver content and the work in producing it, so I’ve been hoarding it for months, waiting for the perfect project. I think it complements the razor blade well. The amethysts were a less obvious choice for me (I automatically assumed I would use red with the razor). I think the amethysts make a strong statement on their own – they have an amazing dark, rich colour and are beautifully facetted – and will probably appeal to a broader audience then the gothier combination of red and, uh, razors. I used an inconspicuous lobster clasp to fasten it, and its approximately 20″ long. All components are sterling silver. I have to say, I love it. If it doesn’t sell, I guess I’ll just have to wear it ;)

That turned out great! I love asymetrical necklaces…why don’t I have one?
