This lil guy is a variation of Rain Cloud no1 that I gave Nven last Christmas. The cloud and lightening bolt are handcut from sterling silver, and the cloud has been hammered to give it a “cloudlike” texture. Because its a storm cloud, I’ve given it a darker blue Swarovski crystal drop, and a bit of chain to give the impression of heavy rain. This is the first project I’ve made with my new sterling silver 1.5mm rolo chain which I love love love for this type of necklace. Yay new chain! The chain is approximately 18″ in length, and fastens with a lobster claw at the nape of the neck. I’m still finding it rather difficult to photograph this type of pendant - half the time its all glare, or doesn’t catch the light at all - but i’m getting better :)

I’ve never really been into jewelry, but once I accidentally stumbeled upon a photo of a rainy cloud necklace I just fell in love with the whole concept! This piece is the cutest and the most amazing I’ve seen. How can I ever get hold of something like this?
