Poor corduroy cat has been waiting patiently for me to make good on my end of our personal swap (she sent me the delightfully macabre needle felted two-headed kitten last month). Finally this week I got my butt in gear and finished up her gift!
As strange as it seems
Our theme was circus sideshow/pickled punk, so I did an assemblage in an old cigar box, featuring some of the more famous sideshow acts in circus history. Everything is assembled using beeswax from our hives, and I even added in a chunk of honey comb from last season and a small vial of bees collected this spring when we reopened the hives (no bees were harmed during the making of this project! These poor ladies didn’t make it through the winter). I’d been hoarding the cigar box since last summer, and it was hard to part with, but it made a great home for the assemblage :)
