Yet another rainbow bracelet, this one with some of my new treasures from this past weekend’s Gem and Mineral Show. :)

Sterling silver with 23 beads on hand-made head pins, approx. 7.5″ long. Two kinds of amethyst, fresh water pearl, Swarovski crystal, lapis lazuli, assorted glass, turquoise, serpentine, citrine, cracked glass, shell, carnelian, fire agate, red jade. red fossil and garnet. The red jade and red fossil are particilarly interesting – bright red does not naturally occur in gems and minerals – they need to be enhanced with dye or other processes. Until now, the only bright reds I’ve had were in crystal, so I really had to look hard at the Show to find new red options. These seem to work quite nicely :)
