China Glaze Life’s a Beach & Pelican Grey
This week’s manicure uses another wonderful neon from China Glaze’s Summer 2012 collection, Life’s a Beach, and a beautiful soft, cool-toned grey, Pelican Grey, from their Spring 2011 collection, Anchor’s Away! I had all sorts of troubles taking pictures of this – it was very overcast yesterday so that didn’t help, and the neon pink was freaking my camera out. Not that the polish doesn’t have an eye-searing radioactive quality to it – it does – but the pictures are taking it to a bit of an extreme. Both polishes had great formulas and I think this shade of grey would be great with all the rest of the neons in my collection, too (I’m really digging the contrast of the grey with the neon). This is also my first attempt at doing polka dots. Can you believe I’ve been to two craft/art stores looking for dotting tools and no one there had any idea what I was looking for? I guess pin heads work just as well. Husband deems this the best manicure so far ^_^
Fun Fact: I have 75 China Glaze polishes. How did that happen!? I have a major soft spot for their collections, and based on sheer numbers alone, I’d have to say this is my favorite brand – its cheap, and they have great colours and formulas. I’m super excited for the upcoming On Safari and Bohemian collections!
