Time Warp Challenge 3: “The Dress” Half-Moon Manicure
The theme of the third installment of the Let’s Do The Time Warp Challenge (hosted by Neverland Nail Blog) is I Remember When… So many memories! Design your nails in honor of a special event in history, either well-known or personal. For this challenge I chose my wedding and used my dress as inspiration. My dress is, BY FAR, the most epic item of clothing I’ve ever owned – it was custom made from sand coloured silk taffeta with a sable lace overlay and a silver-grey raw silk shantung sash and train. I sort of wish I’d thought of doing this manicure for The Big Day, though I doubt I would have been in the mind space to pull it off, lol. I did, however, wear Chanel Graphite on my nails that day, so I was part way there.
The base of this manicure is Chanel Graphite which, on top of already being amazing, has a special place in my heart (see above) and is reminiscent of the colour of my sash. The “lace” is a base of China Glaze Kalahari Kiss, stamped with images from Konad plates number M13 and M57 using Konad Special Polish White, and topped with a coat of OPI So Many Clowns, So Little Time.
