This manicure is for the second installment of the Holiday Nail Art Challenge hosted by NailPolishCanada. The theme for the week is Gifts – Presents, Stockings, anything related to you getting the awesome things you want! For this challenge I recreated the gifts Jack Skellington gives in the original Nightmare Before Christmas poem. Here is the excerpt from the poem naming the gifts:
Then on to the home of little Jane Neeman;
She got a baby doll possessed by a demon.
A monstrous train with tentacle tracks,
A ghoulish puppet wielding an ax,
A man eating plant disguised as a wreath,
And a vampire teddy bear with very sharp teeth.
You can read the whole poem here, it’s awesome. The Nightmare before Christmas movie is easily one of my favorite Christmas movies, too, and one of the best parts is when the children open all of their “improved” gifts!
Again, the winners in this contest are selected by vote, so please take a moment to go check out the gallery and vote for your favorite design. We all appreciate your votes! Thanks again to the lovely people at NailPolishCanada for organizing this challenge, it’s a lot of fun coming up with these designs and seeing everyone’s hard work.
