Scratchboard
Clayboard scratchboards are boards coated in a thin layer of white China clay, coated in black India ink. Images can be etched using a variety of tools, including blades, fiberglass, sandpaper and erasers. Colour can be added to the exposed white areas with India inks, water colours and acrylics. All of my scratchboards are done using artist grade Ampersand Scratchbord Museum Series Panels and India inks.
